Who We Are:
We are the Black Chamber of Orange County and Black Chamber Education Fund. We are here to help you get “Access to Information.” For over 28 years, we have been here to help you improve, enhance and grow your business. We are a multicultural, cross cultural and diversified organization.

What we do:
Our mission is to support community outreach, health and education events and programs, collect data, partner with other business professional organizations, advocate for business and keep the community informed with print, electronic and social media.

Through our education fund we are encouraging our future entrepreneurs and business leaders to invest in their health and business opportunities.

The Black Chamber is also part of the Orange County Presidents Council a group of 27 ethnic chambers and business organization that was founded in the year 2000. We get together on a quarterly basis and share business information and we have also created a calendar of events so we can participate with each other.

Our story:
If you’re not healthy, you’re not in business…
Reflecting back on our partnership with Aetna, starting in 2005, we have been fortunate to be part of the growth of ”The Aetna Way.”

We have created a ”Healthy Business Environment” in the Chamber, and this new posture is part of our chamber life. Aetna, health education and business are intertwined in all of our programs.

At our annual awards banquet in 2006, our Black History themed Science, Medicine and Inventions affair, Aetna was our “Corporation of the Year” and we featured Dr. Melissa Welch and other Aetna dignitaries.

We have incorporated health into our events and have even created a healthy area in our banquet, education programs, business events, and even our golf tournaments, to bring awareness to diabetes, heart, asthma and cancer, along with just staying healthy and informed.

The Black Chamber is proud and honored to be part of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial with Aetna.

In Dr. King’s ”The Birth of A New Age” speech he encourages us to be prepared for opportunities in the medical and health professions. The Cherry trees, when they blossom, will be a strong reminder of beauty and mortality.

We should be selected as Aetna’s Voices of Health winner — so we can continue with our successful efforts to prepare our businesses across the country to create a healthy business environment so they can enhance, improve and grow their businesses.

If you’re not healthy, you’re not in business…
