Who We Are:
The Deamonte Driver Dental Project
What we do:
With early intervention, we target undeserved grade schools to find other children like Deamonte with severe decay and establish a dental home for them.
Our story:
We started as a result of the death of Deamonte Driver in 2007. He died of a brain infection that was caused by bacteria from a decayed tooth. With the mobilization of local Dentists and support of Maryland’s Governor we were able to establish a grass roots solution to children's dental health crisis.
