#aetnavoicesofhealth

In April 2011, Aetna announced a contribution of $1,275,000 to the building of the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial in Washington, DC. Our commitment includes the planting of 185 cherry trees at the Memorial site, which will serve as our living tribute to Dr. King’s legacy.

This contribution helps Aetna celebrate the 10th anniversary of our commitment to help close the health care gap in the United States and promote racial and ethnic equality in health care.

As part of our ongoing commitment, we created the Aetna Voices of Health national competition to recognize local agencies that are working in their communities to encourage racial and ethnic equality in health care and are aligned with Aetna’s mission to promote access to health care for all.
